2021 National Volunteer Week – Profiles
Lynn Walker – Timmins, ON
Lynn Walker is an amazing volunteer who has dedicated herself to starting the Timmins Chapter and spearheading many fundraisers. She sells flowers at Christmas, attends conferences, and has organized the event Bowl-for-a-Cure (in non-Covid times). Lynn organizes the May Awareness Month flag raising for the City of Timmins and the lighting of the McIntyre head frame. This has been a labour of love for Lynn as her father, now deceased, had Huntington disease, and her twin brothers also have the disease. She has put her heart and soul into making the Chapter grow. Lynn – you truly make a difference and we thank you so much for all that you do.
