The National Symposium is an opportunity to gather with the local HD community in your area and learn about the latest in Huntington disease research every two years. The 2017 National Symposium was held on October 14th at 18 volunteer-led locations across Canada, with over 500 people registered to network, and learn from our expert presenters about the latest in HD research.
Presentation One: The Silver Lining: Learning from Unsuccessful HD Clinical Trials
Dr. Tamara Maiuri from McMaster University, shared results of recent HD Clinical trials including Amaryllis, OpenHeart, Premordien and Pride to help us understand why these trials were stopped, but more importantly, what researchers learned that will continue to guide us in the future for treatments of Huntington disease.
