Volunteers are the backbone of the Huntington Society of Canada. We could never achieve what we do without the unfaltering commitment of time, support, skills, creativity and knowledge generously shared by so many.
We have 40 Chapters across Canada that fundraise through events and increase awareness of Huntington disease in their communities.
Our 15-member Board of Directors consists of family members, friends, and skilled professionals all bringing their expertise to the board table to help HSC grow.
Amaryllis sellers and event organizers from coast to coast are responsible for close to one-third of our fundraising revenue year in and year out. Their hard work and commitment help ensure the funding of our core programs and research.
We would never be able have the significant impact we have had on the global knowledge of HD without funding excellent research projects. Our Research Council consists of global HD researchers committed to ensuring we only fund excellence and research that will take us closer to therapeutic treatments for Huntington disease.
This is our opportunity to extend a heartfelt warm thank you to all of our volunteers, including those that help us advocate for genetic fairness, help a family dealing with HD, create fundraising spreadsheets or fold letters.
We are what we are because of the daily commitment of the 10,000 volunteers that believe in us.
Thank you to each and every one of you. The impact of your hard work is felt each and every day. Our success is your success.
