Privacy Policy
Our Commitment
Ron Dodson, registrar for this conference, is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information of its participants, collaborators, volunteers and other stakeholders, including students. We value the trust of those with whom we work, and the public, and recognize that maintaining this trust requires transparency and accountability in relation to how we treat the information that you share. During various projects and activities, we gather and use personal information. We assure all those from whom we collect this information that it will be protected carefully and that using this information is subject to consent. Our privacy practices reflect this goal.
Defining Personal Information
Personal information is any information that can be used to distinguish, identify or contact a specific individual. It may include a person’s opinions or beliefs, and facts about or related to the individual. Some exceptions include business contact information and certain publicly-available information such as names, addresses and telephone numbers as published in telephone directories. When a person uses home contact information as business contact information as well, we consider that information as his/her business contact information, and not subject to protection as personal information.
Privacy Practices
All personal information we collect is held in confidence. We will access personal information only as we need to deal with such information for the reason(s) for which it was obtained. Safeguards are in place to ensure that the information is not disclosed or shared more widely than is needed to achieve the purpose for which it was gathered. We do not sell or transmit personal information without the consent of that person. We also ensure the integrity of the information we collect is maintained and is secure from loss or destruction. We collect, use and disclose personal information only for purposes which a reasonable person would consider appropriate in relation to the circumstances.
Website and Commerce
We use appropriate security measures, including encryption software, to protect personal and other information that we receive when a product or service is requested and/or paid online.We use only those online payment services which offer the highest levels of security and protection. Our software is updated frequently to maximize such protection to our clients.

We review and update our policy and procedures regularly. Our most up to date policies are available to all clients and the public.
