Thinking of Leaving a Legacy?
Legacy gifts make an incredible impact in finding meaningful treatments and supporting those who are affected by HD. A future gift arranged through your estate plan to the Huntington Society of Canada provides confidence that there will always be a steady, ongoing stream of funds available for our commitment to creating a world free from Huntington disease.
Everyone has their own motivations for leaving a gift to charity in a will. But all share a deep generosity and a desire to help others in a time of deep distress.
For these reasons the Huntington Society of Canada has established the Ralph and Ariel Walker Summit Society. Since the Huntington Society of Canada began in 1973 in Ralph and Ariel Walker’s home, great strides forward have been made and many successes have taken place. Research, as well as the care provided for those with Huntington disease and their families have advanced through your support.
The Ralph and Ariel Walker Summit Society is a way to guard and honour the legacy of Ralph and Ariel along with those who were with them from the beginning.
Making a planned gift with the Huntington Society of Canada as a beneficiary will help retain the legacy of HSC’s founders, but it will also assure future funding for both research and the vital assistance provided through Individual and Family Services.
What is Planned Giving?
Planned giving is an opportunity for your vital support of the Huntington’s cause to extend beyond your own lifetime. It allows you to plan today to make a significant gift in the future, while optimizing tax and other financial benefits.
Planned gifts to the Huntington Society of Canada may include bequests, gifts of life insurance, charitable remainder trusts, and gifts of retirement funds.
Why should I consider Planned Giving?
By arranging a planned gift to the Huntington Society of Canada, you are making an enduring commitment to the Huntington’s cause. Your planned gift will benefit others for years to come, ensuring the Society is able to meet the ongoing needs of the HD community through the Family Services program, and to provide hope for the future through our research program.
