In 27 years of nursing, Yvonne Heath witnessed our society’s death phobia and how our reluctance to talk about, plan prepare for grief, death and dying causes excessive suffering in life and at the end of life. She suffered too, not knowing how to do it differently. At age 50 she left her career and blazed a new trail. Her new purpose?
To empower compassionate communities and professionals to live life to the fullest, learn to grieve and support others and to have “The Talk” about end of life… long before it arrives and diffuse the fear.
And Yvonne certainly left the HD community feeling empowered after the 2018 HSC National Conference where she gave her presentation “I Just Showed Up” (click here to watch the full presentation).
Now, Yvonne is helping the HD community even further, by donating 25% of sale proceeds of her book, Love Your Life to Death: How to Plan and Prepare for End of Life so You Can Live Fully Now, to the Huntington Society of Canada.
Through heartfelt stories of those who have been deeply impacted by loss and found happiness again, and interviews of professionals who deal with grief, death and dying, you will gain from their insightful experiences.
