2021 National Volunteer Week – Profiles
Megan Sider – Edmonton, AB
Megan was an active member and volunteer with Young People Affected by Huntington Disease (YPAHD). Since then, she has transitioned to become an Edmonton Chapter board member and has held that role for over five years, sharing ideas and experiences freely with the group. She regularly participates in every HD fundraiser as a volunteer and participant. Megan also takes on the all-important role of providing digital support for the Chapter’s Facebook page, promoting national events and information as well as local Chapter updates. During Covid, she has been organizing the Chapter’s Zoom meetings. Her insight, clarity and “get up and get at it” attitude have all been highlighted as some of her greatest contributions that are truly integral to the success of the Chapter’s initiatives. We are so grateful for all that you do, Megan.
