The big day that we have all been waiting for has finally arrived! Tomorrow, Ellie Smith, Anne Young, Marlene Boone and Isla Van de Laar are leaving for the trip of a life time. With their bags packed, research done and their itineraries planned, the four women and their partners will be leaving British Columbia to walk the Camino de Santiago Trail, in Spain, to raise awareness for Huntington disease (HD).
The Huntington Society of Canada (HSC) wishes to recognize the dedication, determination and inspiration these four women have generated for the entire HD community. They have all worked very hard by training for their walk and to raise awareness for HD. HSC is so proud to be a small part of this magnificent journey.
Thanks to Ellie, Marlene, Anne and Isla for creating awareness for HD and generating conversations along the way. The four women will be wearing their “I Love Someone with HD” t-shirts, buffs with the HSC logo and also handing out information cards to those who are eager to learn more.
